Friendly staff. Bar meals are good too. Comfy rooms if staying over
Went in for lunch, place was empty, apart from staff. Ordered 2 mushroom risotto and 2 burgers. Risotto tasted like it was out of a packet, which i can understand at this time of year, but needed more mushroom flavour. Burgers were red inside, which i don't mind, but mine was on the verge of mooing and all i could taste was blood. Did complain about it and got 1 off. was told not to worry, i shouldnt get food poisoning as the beef was fresh.
What a great pub. Good beers and wines, excellent food, lovely welcome. Our party of 8 was very happy on several visits. Highly recommended.
Had the most wonderful meal tonight, started of with a proposal and ended up with delicious food cooked to perfection, warm and cosy atmosphere with lovely decorations for Christmas, wonderfully friendly staff. Definitely an all round great place to go for a good meal! Thank you to the old mill for a fantastic meal!
Our second visit since the new owners took over. First time the food was excellent last night not so good but above average. The service is very good and attentive without being intrusive. Menu descriptions are a bit too flowery for me, fish, chips and peas are fish, chips and peas but that's just me, I don't care for pretence.
